Shared Screening Compound Library Agreement

Drs. Eitzen and Lacy may screen the diverse set of compounds in cleared assays, create and own intellectual property and publish results. Research results will be shared with Janssen.

Drs. Eitzen and Lacy are members of the Cell Biology and Pulmonary Research Group at the University of Alberta. Their goal is to better understand the regulation of inflammation in human disease and expect that by screening a large compound library they will identify compounds that modify inflammatory processes. The identified compounds will be of particular interest for both mechanistic studies of the regulation of inflammation and also therapeutic value in the treatment of inflammatory disorders. They are currently working with TEC Edmonton, the technology transfer office of the University of Alberta, to commercialize discoveries related to this research.
